Is old version MYOB compatible with Windows11?

Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Windows 10 effective October 14, 2025. Affected Windows 10 customers will need to upgrade their PC to Windows 11 to ensure their PC can be used safely. When upgrading, is it necessary to also upgrade older versions of ABSS MYOB? And which versions of ABSS MYOB are compatible with Windows 11?

(1) Which versions are compatible with Windows 11?

Below latest versions are compatible with Windows 11 or 10:
Accounting v28.9
Premier v23.9
PremierPlus v23.9

(2) How do I know which MYOB version I am using?

After opening MYOB, go to [Help]>[About] in the menu, and you can see the version details.

(3) What will happen if you don’t upgrade?

a) Windows 11 Compatibility
Versions released before Windows 11 have not been tested for compatibility, and error messages may appear when running which increase the risk of data corruption.

b) Windows Block Message
When an earlier version (e.g. Premier/PremierPlus 13) is running on Windows 10/11, a block message “The system administrator has prohibited you from running this Apps” may appear, resulting in the inability to open the company file.

4) How is the upgrade process?

a) Customer fills out the registration form to apply for an upgrade
b) Customer pays after receipt of invoice
c) We will update the customer serial number (takes 1 to 2 working days)
d) After the customer receives the guidance, install the new version and open the old company file, the system will upgrade the old data file

5) Is there upgrade fee?

The upgrade fee is quite reasonable, please refer to the list.

6) Will the no. of company files or user licenses be affected after the upgrade?

No. The no. of original unused company files and the no. of users will remain the same as before.
