MYOB Wins Version: Multi-User Setup
For 2-3 users at same location, you can share company datafile through shared folder built in Windows among user workstations. For more than 3 users or you are using MAC version, please refer to "MYOB System Spec" for details.
With MYOB installed in each user's PC, users shall be able to access a common shared folder with MYOB company datafile. Please follow below procedures to set up your common shared folder. If you have to confine the access permission of shared folder to specified users, please contact us for assistance.
b. Right click the MYOB Share Folder, select “Share With > Specific People”
c. Select "Everyone” & click "Add "
d. Tick “Read/Write”
e. Click "Share”
f. Record the directory (e.g. \\RUDIWONG-PC\) and click "Finish"
a. In other User PC, enter the directory (e.g. \\RUDIWONG-PC\) for searching "MYOB Share" folder previously setup at host PC
b. For easier access, right click the Shared Folder & select "Map Network Drive"
c. Select a drive (e.g. Z) & click "Finish"
d. For retrieving Shared Folder in future, go directly to “Z:\”
a. Run MYOB already installed on your desktop. Click "Open" & locate the Map Drive to retrieve the MYOB Company Datafile in Shared Folder. In MYOB, enter User ID & Password, then select "Multi-User Access" and "TCP/IP" as Protocol
b. User ID & Password is assigned by Administrator (Go to Setup > Preferences > Security > User ID)
c. Please note that if host PC is shutted down, other users are unable to access Shared Folder
